Isaiah Tate to play in 2011 Commonwealth Collegiate Challenge

Isaiah Tate will be playing in this year's Commonwealth Collegiate Challenge, an event that is basically an All-Star game for local college seniors. One team will be composed of seniors from VCU and Richmond and the other will be made up of players from other schools in Virginia.  You can see the full list of players here, the event will be happening this Thursday at the VCU Siegel Center in Richmond.

Cam Long was originally slated to play in this but backed out for whatever reason.

Good luck to Cam and Ike!

Moving forward - How about CBS's Gary Parrish and ESPN's Andy Katz preseason top 25 seating Mason at 24 and 25 respectively! How about Joe Lunardi preseason bracket again has Mason seeded #9! I am so ready for next season!!!

Next season could be a major disappointment.

Joe Lunardi having a bracket for a Tournament that is 11 months away is probably the dumbest thing in civilization.

With four starters back from last season, I think it's safe to say we can finish in the top 4 in CAA. Missing Cam long and Isaiah Tate is huge, but don't discount what guys like Vaughns, Wright and Bryon can bring to the table. And with Whack's scholarship, if we can bring in another solid 6'8/6'9 low-post rebounder that was missing from last year squad, the sky is the limit for this team. Mason is on the rise Baby!!!

You may call it a dumb bracket but not including Mason in this bracket based on how we finished the season this year would be even dumber thing to do in universe.

Each year we wonder how we will replace the departing seniors and each year someone steps up. There could be some suprises such as Johnny Williams. I am looking forward to next season and think we will have a very good team.
